Access to clean water is among the most fundamental human rights, yet it remains scarce across much of rural Somaliland. ASAD funded the drilling of a 200-meter deep water well in the Garadag region — an engineering accomplishment that taps into reliable underground aquifers to provide a sustainable and safe water source for thousands of community members. This project reduces the burden on women and children who previously walked long distances to fetch water, while also supporting local agriculture and public health outcomes.
