Beer Integrated Farm Project

Bring Fresh Food Closer to Home

A 100-hectare farm in Beer, built to serve Burao and surrounding Togdheer communities.

Closing the Distance Between Beer and Burao

Burao is Somaliland’s second-largest city, yet much of the fresh produce reaching its families travels long distances before it arrives. Every extra kilometer adds cost, increases the risk of shortages, and makes healthy food harder to afford.

Just 30 kilometers from Burao, in the farming community of Beer, ASAD is building something designed to change that.

The Beer Integrated Farm will produce fresh vegetables, fruit, livestock products, and poultry closer to the people who need them — serving Burao, Beer, and surrounding Togdheer communities.

This Farm Is Already Taking Root

This is more than an idea.

ASAD has already secured 100 hectares of land in Beer. The feasibility study and engineering master plan are complete. The Somaliland Ministry of Agriculture has committed support through bulldozer services, technical assistance, and certified seeds.

Now we need donor support to turn the land into a productive, sustainable farm.

Your contribution will help build irrigation systems, develop and drill boreholes and other water infrastructure for the farm, establish orchards and crop fields, develop livestock and poultry facilities, purchase essential farm equipment, and create the infrastructure needed to move fresh food from Beer to Burao and nearby communities.

This is not a one-time food shipment. It is an investment in a farm that can produce food season after season, year after year.

Your Gift Builds Something That Lasts

Every contribution helps move this farm forward.

$25

can help establish a fruit tree.

$100

can help support fencing and farm infrastructure.

$500

can help develop poultry and livestock production.

Larger Gifts

can help build boreholes, irrigation, machinery, solar-powered water systems, storage, and other critical infrastructure.

Together, these contributions become something much bigger: a permanent source of food, jobs, and opportunity.

ASAD is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 88-0976450. All donations are
tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law, and every gift receives a
written acknowledgment.

From 100 Hectares to 200,000+ Lives

More than 200,000 people across Burao, Beer, and surrounding Togdheer communities are within practical reach of this farm.

The impact will extend beyond food. The farm will help create local jobs, support vulnerable families, contribute part of its production to food-support programs, strengthen local agriculture, and reduce dependence on produce transported from distant areas.
